Doris June Williams

Doris June Williams, 76, of Elgin, died September 11 at her home from the complications of Alzheimer's disease.

A memorial service will begin at 3pm Saturday, September 20 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in La Grande, Oregon.

Mrs. Williams was born August 10, 1927 to Ivan and Helen McHenry in Hollywood, Calif. She moved to Western Oregon in 1944 and married Robert D. Wilson of Eugene. In 1957 she married Theodore W. Williams and moved to Beaverton. In 1997 she moved to Elgin.

She enjoyed performing and directing musical productions all of her life. She loved collecting rocks and caring for her family and friends.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Cassandra and Lanny Erickson of Elgin; a son and daughter-in-law, Christian and Gail Wilson of Eugene; a son,
Roby Williams of Portland; 2 grandchildren, Calandra Johnson of La Grande and Timothy Erickson of Baker City; 4 great-grandchildren, Kennedy, Madelynn, Alek and Annika of La Grande; and a sister Betty Lesh of Oceanside, Calif. Her son, Tad, died earlier.

Doris was cared for in her final days in her home by family and Home Care Services of La Grande.
