Doris M. Cutts

Doris Marie Cutts, age 76 of Island City, died Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at the Grande Ronde Hospital. A celebration of life will be held on Monday, July 25, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Daniels Chapel of the Valley. Family and friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Monday, July 25, 2005 at Daniels Chapel of the Valley. Interment will follow at the Island City Cemetery.

Doris Marie Cutts was born May 14, 1929 the daughter of Thomas J. and Hazel (Royce) Murphy in Chesterfield, New Hampshire. On January 9, 1959 Doris married Percy Cutts in Phoenix, Arizona and together the couple moved to Portland where they owned and operated Cutts Painting Service for sixteen years. Doris was a member of the Eagles Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed yard sales, bingo, plants, gardening, cross word puzzles, her dogs and the outdoors.


Survivors include her nephew and his spouse, Stanley and Lynda Cutts of Troy, New Hampshire; relatives of the Portland and New England area and other dear friends. Her parents; brothers and sisters, Donald Murphy, Clyde Murphy, Roland Murphy, Thelma Merrifield, and Margaret Wickline; close friends, Walter Pickett and Peggy Down all preceded her in death.
