Donald Dean Weatherspoon

Donald Dean Weatherspoon, 62, of Elgin died September 15 at St. Mary Medical Center in Walla Walla. Herring Groseclose Funeral Home in Walla Walla, Wash. is in charge of arrangements. No services were conducted at his request.

Mr. Weatherspoon was born June 22, 1943, to Fred and Luella Rysdam Weatherspoon in La Grande. He attended school in Elgin and worked as a logger, commercial fisherman and truck driver. On April 7, 1988 he married Evelyn Brock in Elgin. He enjoyed boating, fishing, hunting and spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife of Elgin; children, Sonia Weatherspoon of La Grande and Dicki Weatherspoon of Everett, Washington; a sister and brother-in-law, Arlene and Frank Showers of Gold Canyon, Arizona; five grandchildren and other relatives.
