Dolores Kay Berg, age 49, of La Grande, died Sunday, September 1, 2002 at her home.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at Daniels Chapel of the Valley.
Mrs. Berg was born on December 17, 1952, the daughter of Hubert and Eloise (Quimby) Williams in Farmington, Maine. They lived in Rangeley, Maine and they later moved to California. She spent most of her youth in Monrovia, California and on July 18, 1970 she married Daniel Berg in Monrovia. They made their home in La Grande and she graduated from La Grande High School with the class of 1971.
Mrs. Berg worked for Oak Street Exxon for ten years before becoming an associate at Wal-Mart. She was an associate for seven years where she made many close, personal friends and took much pride in her job. During their early years or marriage Dolores and Dan enjoyed Square Dancing.
Mrs. Berg played bunko with her friends, enjoyed crafts, ceramics and gardening. She liked the outdoors and camping. Her greatest love was her family. She enjoyed shopping for her grandchildren and spending time with them.
Survivors include her husband, Daniel Berg, Jr. of La Grande; sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel and Brandy Berg of North Powder and Brian and Amy Berg of Ellsworth Air Force Base, South Dakota; grandchildren, Lauren Marie Berg, KayLee Ann Berg and Rachel Mary Kay Berg; mother, Eloise Williams of Monrovia, California; brothers, Dale Williams of Walnut, California, Dennis Williams of Weber, Utah, Gary Williams of San Dimas, California, Thomas Williams of Monrovia, California and Craig Williams of Oakland, Maine; and other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in care of Daniels Chapel of the Valley, 1502 7th Street, La Grande, Oregon 97850.
