Dianne Delight Hefner

November 25, 1941 — July 12, 2022

Dianne Delight Hefner, 81 of Union, died Tuesday, July 12th at her home near Union.

Private interment will be with her father at the Union Victorian Cemetery.  Arrangements are entrusted to Daniels-Knopp Funeral, Cremation & Life Celebration Center of La Grande.

Dianne Delight was born on November 25, 1941 in Silverton to Harold and Myrtle (Sitz) Bartsch.

Dianne grew up in Pendleton where she graduated with the class of 1960. She loved to ride horses and was a princess on the Pendleton Roundup Court.  In 1969 the family moved to Medical Springs where the managed a ranch.  Dianne then moved to Union in 1976 where she became very involved in the Eastern Oregon Livestock Show.  She spent many long hours working in the kitchen.  In her later years she enjoyed playing bingo at the Veterans of Foreign Wars and visiting with her friends.

Surviving relatives include her daughter, Wendy Langford and her husband Rob of Union and her son Jeff McClaskey of Touchet, Washington; 2 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Contributions in memory of Dianne Hefner may be made to the High Valley Post 4060 Veterans of Foreign Wars, 518 N. Main Street, Union 97883.
