David is survived by his parents, Leonard and Betty (Newton) Morse of La Grande; sisters, Wendy Schmidt and her husband Lester of Lebanon, Mo., and Becky Noll and her husband Willie of Summerville; two daughters, Hailey Morse of Beaverton and Tessy Neal and her husband David of Albany; five grandchildren; four uncles; one aunt; two nieces; and seven great-nieces and great-nephews.

David was preceded in death by his son, Jedidiah Morse in November 2006.

Although David helped others achieve the dream of owning their own homes through his woodworking skills, he was never able to own his own home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Habitat for Humanity are suggested as a way to remember David and his amazing talent with wood.
