Dale I. Moulton

Dale I. Moulton, 69, formerly of La Grande and Halfway, died Feb. 29 in Gresham.

A memorial service took place today, March 4, 2008, at Fairlawn Health Center Gresham.

Dale was born Dec. 19, 1938, in Halfway. He attended school in Baker City and graduated from Baker City High School.

He married Rae D. Kirk on Feb. 1, 1957, in Baker City. In 1960 Dale graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in education from Eastern Oregon University. He received his master's degree in education from the University of Oregon in Eugene.

Dale taught the fifth and sixth grade at Pleasant Valley school in Gresham for 30 years until retiring. He loved music, exercise, fishing, hunting and spending time with his family. Dale was very proud of his children and grandchildren and enjoyed watching them grow and especially watching them participate in sports.

Dale is survived by his wife, Rae of Gresham; children, Brent and his wife, Maria, of La Grande, Scott and his wife Kate, of Gresham; Michelle Kuhnau and her husband, Pat, of Fairview; brother, Delbert Moulton of Baker City; sisters, Bev Stultz of Baker City and Bonnie Deets of Clackamas; and four grandchildren in La Grande and in Fairview. Dale was preceded in death by his son, Mike Moulton.
