Corrinne Marcheta Taylor

April 29, 1924 — January 16, 2014

Corrinne Marcheta Taylor, age 89, of Summerville died January 16, 2014, at the Grande Ronde Hospital. At her request, no public services will be held.


Mrs. Taylor was born on April 29, 1924, to Earl and Icie M (Thomas) Ross in Boise, Idaho. Icie divorced and later married Dan Malone. The family moved to Cle Elum, Washington where Corrinne attended school.


After graduating high school, Corrinne worked in the Seattle Ship yards before marrying William I. Taylor on August 12, 1944 in Cle Elum. In 1950 they moved their family to LaGrande, Oregon where Corrinne worked as bookkeeper for several local car dealerships and businesses.

Corrinne was a member of Credit Women, and enjoyed spending time with her family and camping and fishing. In 1976 William and Corrinne moved to Summerville, where they lived until their deaths.


Survivors include her children, Linda and Dennis Lovely of Hermiston and Dan and Julie Taylor of Summerville; four grandchildren; and five great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by an infant sister, her parents, a grandson, Michael Taylor in 1987, and her husband William in 2007.


Those who wish may make contribution in her memory to the Blue Mtn. Humane Association in care of Daniels~Knopp Funeral, Cremation and Life Celebration Center.
