Cora Mayme Perrigo

September 7, 1918 — July 12, 2005

Cora Mayme Perrigo, age 86, formerly of La Grande, died Tuesday, July 12, 2005 in Lacey, Washington. Arrangements are entrusted to Daniels Chapel of the Valley.

Cora Mayme Perrigo was born on September 7, 1918, the daughter of Frank and Mayme (Vintin) Bayer in Grass Valley, Oregon. On July 4, 1942, Cora married Charles Perrigo in White Salmon, Washington. They lived for many years in The Dalles and Pendleton before moving to LaGrande in 1982. She worked as a secretary and librarian in the Pendleton Library during the mid 1960's and 1970's.

Cora enjoyed sewing, knitting, painting, and was an avid reader. She spent much of her time following first her daughter's activities and then each of her grandchildren whenever possible. She was a long time member of the Rebecca's.

Survivors include her children, Linda Riggs of Vancouver WA, Leslie Schricker of Baker City Or, and Lori Deike of Olympia WA and her four grandchildren, Jeff Schricker of MaCall ID, Jayme Schricker of John Day OR, Jenifer Andrews of Portland OR, and Cori Deike Crofts of Sequim WA., and one brother, David Bayer of El Macero CA along with other relatives and friends. Her parents, husband Charles Perrigo and three brothers all preceded her in death.
