Conrad C. Huntsman, 88, of Boise, Idaho and formerly of La Grande died January 29, 2006. Viewing will be from 6-8 pm Thursday at the Relyea Funeral Chapel in Boise and from noon to 12:45 pm Friday at the LDS Chapel, 3020 Cherry Lane in Boise. Burial will be at HIllcrest Cemetery in La Grande at noon on Saturday.
Mr. Huntsman was born December 29, 1917 to Emery and Elsie Caroline Shipp Huntsman in Provo, Utah. He graduated from Baker High School in 1936 and on April 3, 1942 he married Marell Waite in the Salt Lake City Temple. They lived in La Grande where he worked as a warehouse foreman for the La Grande Fruit Co. for 25 years. They moved to Boise in 1984. Mr. Huntsman was a Master Gardener and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, walking, telling stories, talking to people and watching his children and grandchildren play sports.
Survivors include his wife of Boise; children and their spouses, Joyce and Douglas Higley of Emmett, Idaho, John and JoAnn Huntsman of Athena, Kathleen and Wayne Jensen of Sutherlin, David and Betty of Baker City, Vaughn and Elaine Huntsman of Rock Springs, Wyoming, Loren and Shelly Huntsman of Lyman, Wyoming and Jan Green, E. Christine and Gerry Rogalsky and Donna Huntsman, all of Boise; 54 grandchildren; 60 great grandchildren; a brother, D. Felton of Seattle, Washington and a brother-in-law, Russell Waite of Pendleton. A son, Warren Frank Huntsman, a grandson and three great grandchildren all died earlier.
