Catherine Ann Gibson

Catherine Ann Gibson, 54, of Sheridan and formerly of La Grande died February 18, 2006 at Willamette Valley Medical Center in McMinnville. A memorial service will begin at 11:00 am on April 29, 2006 at Emigrant Springs State Park.

Mrs. Gibson was born March 30, 1951 to Charles Ernest and Grace Annetta Wilson Britain in Pendleton. The family moved to La Grande and she graduated from La Grande High School. She married and later divorced, and worked as an in-home caregiver. She moved to Keizer in 1996 and in 2004 to Sheridan. She was a member of the Eagles and was president of the Eagles Auxiliary in Keizer. She enjoyed crochet, sewing, karaoke and playing bingo. She was known as Aunt Cacky.

Survivors include her children, Butch Whitehead, Jr. of Umatilla, Annetta Britain of Springfield, Anna Mainard of Albany; her mother of La Grande; sisters and brothers-in-law, Marty Quittschreiber of La Grande, Ruth and Rob Durbin of Roseburg and Becky and Ron Conant of Hermiston; and six grandchildren.
