Burl Herman Woods

Burl Herman Woods, 65, of Imbler, died Dec. 19.

A service will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Church of the Nazarene, 109 18th St. in La Grande. A reception will follow at the fellowship hall of the church at 11 a.m. A graveside service begins at 12:45 p.m. at Summerville Cemetery.

Burl was employed at Boise-Cascade Elgin Complex until his retirement at age 60. He worked for City Garbage Service, Ron Larvik and Sons, for about five years. He served his country in the U.S. Army for four years and in the Reserves.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Judith L. Woods; a son, Paul Bryan Woods; and two grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St Jude's Children's Hospital or any other charity.
