Bonnie Joyce Hickey

Bonnie Joyce Hickey, age 71, of La Grande, died Monday October 21, 2002 at the Grande Ronde Hospital.


Mrs. Hickey was born on August 20, 1931, the daughter of Charles and Ella (Edmonds) Wetherell in Arlington, Oregon


On May 13, 1952 she married Jerolee in Goldendale, Washington. They moved to La Grande from Arlington in 1964. Mrs. Hickey was a member of Life Exchange Ministries.


Survivors include her husband, Jerolee of La Grande; children: sons Dave Wetherell of Silverdale, Washington, Phillip Hickey of Cove, Oregon, Jim Hickey of Corvallis, Oregon, Tom Hickey of Post Falls, Idaho and John Hickey of La Grande, Oregon; daughters, Cindy Simonis of La Grande, Oregon and Charleen Williams of Umatilla, Oregon; sisters; Myrtle Fite and Mable Starkey; and brothers, Delbert Wetherell, Ben Wetherell, Richard Wetherell, Chub Wetherell, and Jim Sharpe; thirty three grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandson. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Larry Wetherell and Ruben Wetherell, and sisters, Ruby Zestrow and Mildred Wetherell.


Memorial services were held Wednesday, October 23, 2002 in Island City, Oregon and on Saturday, October 26, 2002 in Arlington, Oregon.
