Bonnie R. Hart

February 6, 1953 — January 26, 2009

Bonnie R. Hart, 55, of Elgin died Jan. 26 at her residence. A celebration of life memorial was held Thursday in Elgin.

The family invites her friends to join them in scattering her ashes in July at a place she requested to be.

Bonnie was born in Feb. 6, 1953, in Nyssa to Ruth and Harvey Howard. She joined a family including her sister, Louise and brother Monty. She was later joined by another sister, Debbie.

Bonnie graduated from high school in Nyssa, and encouraged, nurtured, and devoted herself to her family and friends. A testament of her long-term commitment to her friends included her continued communication with grade school companions. She had an extended family that gave new meaning to generosity to others, family members said.

Words to describe Bonnie include independent, nurturing, intuitive, hard core, thorough, flirtatious, devoted, loyal and reasonable. Bonnie was loving and generous to all who knew her. She was a woman that shared her love with her kids, her grandkids, her friends and her family.

Her favorite pastimes included camping and mushroom hunting. She loved exploring and experiencing life and all of its opportunities. Her creative spirit was expressed in her eclectic decorating style. She crocheted and shared her scarves with all who needed a neck warmer.

She is survived by her children, Misty, Zach, Molly, Emily and Sam; mother Ruth; Papa Swede; sisters Louise and Deb; brother Monty, and respective partners. Bonnie leaves behind a special man, Roy. The devotion and caring from their pairing brought her satisfaction and comfort.

She was preceded in death by her dad, birth father, maternal and fraternal grandparents Bowmans and Howards.
