Bobby Gene Stuckman

January 31, 1939 — December 31, 2007

Bobby Gene Stuckman, age 68, of La Grande, died December 31, 2007 at a Portland Hospital. A service will be held on Friday, January 4, 2008 at Daniels~Knopp Funeral, Cremation & Life Celebration Center, 1502 7th Street in La Grande. Burial will be at the Summerville Cemetery.

Mr. Stuckman was born on January 31, 1939 in Durango, Colorado to Fredrick Warren and Emily Carter Stuckman. He attended school in Colorado. On January 12, 1960 he married Marian Kuchler . In 1964 they moved to La Grande.

He worked at the Royal Café and the Rangler Steakhouse. He owned Bob's Café in Island City and Wallowa. In Wallowa he prepared meals for Lion's Club and Good Sam Club functions.

With a smile, he would ask, "Did you get enough to eat?", as he enjoyed his many patrons. Bobby was more than willing to lend a helping hand when he could. He enjoyed family, fishing, hunting and auctions.

Survivors include his wife, Marian of La Grande; children and their spouses, Johanna and Glen Binder, Lynn and Bill Comisky, Ruth and James McClure and Bryan and Christine Stuckman; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; three sisters; three brothers and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
