Bobbi Lillian Shaw, age 84, formerly of La Grande, died Monday, March 28, 2005 at Benedictine Nursing Center in Mount Angel, Oregon. At her request there will be no public services held. Arrangements are entrusted to Daniels Chapel of the Valley.
Bobbi Lillian Shaw was born on July 11, 1920, in Daisy, Washington. She was the daughter of John Winslow and Lillian (Hellis) Winslow Wells. She later became the step daughter of Harry Wells, who taught her patience and the joy of a good horse. She attended school in Imbler and later business college for one year. Mrs. Shaw was married to Douglas Buchanan, who later preceded her in death, and then married Burr C. Shaw on December 2, 1954 in Winnemucca, Nevada. Together the couple lived in the Grand Ronde Valley which she called home for most of her life. Mrs. Shaw was a past member of the La Grande Eagles Auxiliary. She enjoyed traveling to the Yukon wilderness, loved the outdoors and her cats.
Survivors include her children and their spouses; Tana and Fred Wood of Delta Junction, Alaska, Douglas and Debra Buchanan of Salem, Oregon, Kristi and Robert Papen of Beaverton, Oregon, and Burr Shaw and Lori Welch of Wilsonville, Oregon; four grandchildren, Lorelei, Joshua, Royal, and Amanda; three great-grandchildren, Benjiman, Mackenzie, and Maranda; and other relatives and friends.
