In Loving Memory

Billy Clyde Helton

10/13/1986 - 03/21/2003

16 Years

Billy was born in Kansas City, Kansas and spent most of his life in Oregon. He died at the St. Alphonsus Trauma Center, Boise, Idaho as the result of a car accident.

Billy leaves behind his home in La Grande, Oregon where he lived with his mother, Rose Flack, and his only brother, Ricky Helton. His father Billy J. Helton, Jr. lives in Pendleton, Oregon.

Now in the Hands of God, Billy cherished his time that he spent in his artistic work of freehand sketches. He cherished his time that he devoted to his mother and brother in the last year because of his freewill in changing his life around. The hardships that Billy overcame made him stronger in wanting to start a new path in his young life.

His passion was hunting and fishing, camping and boating-if he could drive the boat. He loved the outdoors and the time spent with his friends. As well, he liked riding his bike, riding 4-wheelers, and learning the techniques of boxing. He wanted to do things, others would say could not be done. Billy was an organ donor because he wanted to help others in the chance to survive.

The family wishes, for any contributions to be made to the New Life Center in care of Daniels Chapel of the Valley, 1502 7th Street, La Grande, Oregon.

There will be a Celebration of Life Service for Billy, Friday, March 28, 2003 at 11:00 am at the New Life Center, in Island City, Oregon.
