Beverly Jean Rademacher

October 15, 1935 — November 16, 2003

Beverly Jean Rademacher, age 68, of La Grande, died Sunday, November 16, 2003 at her home. A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 20, 2003 at the Zion Lutheran Church with Pastor Don Voeks officiating. Committal and interment will follow at the Island City Cemetery.

Mrs. Rademacher was born on October 15, 1935, the daughter of Harry Arthur and Lena Lisa (Kruse) Guenther in Beatrice, Nebraska. She graduated from high school in Nebraska and on June 20, 1954 she married Jack L. Rademacher in Johnson, Nebraska. They moved to La Grande on Labor Day of 1959. He preceded her in death on December 31, 1982.

Mrs. Rademacher worked for Pioneer Bank for 21 years. She retired as a loan officer four years ago. She was a very active member of the Zion Lutheran Church and served in various positions on the Church Council and the Women's Board and taught Sunday school. She was also active with the BPW, Beta Sigma Phi and the Hospital Auxiliary. She was a former member of the Order of Eastern Star and the Chamber of Commerce. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, her dog, Gidget, and her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed cooking, baking and canning and she collected spoons.

Survivors include her children, Steven and Denise Rademacher of Boring, Oregon and Kimberly Fong and Jesus Saldana of Aloha, Oregon; grandchildren, Stephanie Fong, Kristi Fong, Jordan Fong, Selena Saldana and Jack Rademacher; sister, Pat Wilson of Cove; brother, Marshall Ray Guenther of Umatilla; and other relatives and friends. A sister, Linda Kay Guenther preceded her in death.
