B. Joyce Garner Colter

B. Joyce (Colter) Garner, age 59, of La Grande, died Wednesday, November 15, 2006 at St. Alphonsus Hospital in Boise, Idaho. At this time there will be no public services. Arrangements are entrusted to Daniels Chapel of the Valley, 1502 7th Street, La Grande, Oregon.

Joyce was born on March 21, 1947, the daughter of Hermit and Opal Garner in Birmingham, Alabama. She was educated in Alabama and came to Oregon in 1970. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and talking with her family living in the south. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting.

Survivors include her daughters, Erica Garner, Lillian Keeling and Kelly Thweatt, all of La Grande; six grandchildren; one brother, Anthony Garner,three sisters and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by an older sister and two brothers, Wayne and George Garner.
