Anna Marie Elliott, 65, of Salem and formerly of Union and La Grande, died Feb. 2 at her home surrounded by her family after a battle with cancer.
Marie requested that no public services be held for her.
Marie was born Oct. 1, 1943, to Acey and Norma (Wigglesworth) Edwards in Portland. The family then moved to Acey's home in Alabama.
In 1958 she and her mother moved to Union where she graduated from Union High School in 1962.
She married Kenneth Doyle Elliott of Union that same year and moved to La Grande, where they made a home and raised their sons.
She was active in all of the schools her sons attended and also worked for Western Bank.
She later worked for Eastern Oregon State College in the admissions department.
In 1984 they moved to Salem where she worked for OR-OSHA until retiring in 1994 due to a disability.
Marie loved flowers, especially roses.
She was also an animal lover and doted on her labrador retriever, Duke.
Marie is survived by her husband, Doyle; sons, Randy and Tim Elliott of Salem; and aunts and numerous cousins.
She was preceded in death by her infant son, Scottie; parents, Acey and Norma; aunts, Edith McCain and Lula Mae Pfel; and uncle, Marvin Wigglesworth of Union.
Memorial contributions may be made to any non-profit hospice or to any local animal shelter.
