Ann Marie Ryan, 60, of Coquille and formerly of La Grande, died Dec. 31 at home of heart failure. A celebration of life will begin at 4 p.m. Friday at the Coquille Community Building, 115 N. Birch in Coquille. Myrtle Grove Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
Ann was born Dec. 28, 1948, to Laurence "Bud" Ryan and Coreen "Corky" Marie Jones in Coquille. Ann attended Coquille High School and later had three children.
She lived and worked in La Grande, Eugene, Springfield and Gresham before returning to Coquille in 1995 where she has resided and fulfilled her dream career in the medical field. She loved her job and helping others, the doctors she worked for and the friends she made, who were like family to her.
She loved gardening, camping, music, singing, dancing, old cars, rides on Harleys, her pets, family gatherings and most of all she loved spending quality time with her nine beautiful grandchildren.
Her family says she taught them about strength, unconditional love, respect, compassion, living, learning and the importance of family togetherness.
Ann is survived by her son, Craig Gurney and his wife, Suzanne, of Myrtle Point; daughter, Shawn Krall and her husband, Jeff, of Coquille; son, Shane Sperry and his wife, Sandi, of Eugene; nine grandchildren; and nephews and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Linda; and brothers, Ken and Michael.
