Angleline Leona Maria Theresa Fiedler

October 7, 1917 — November 3, 2004

Angeline Leona Maria Theresa Fiedler, age 87, of La Grande, died Wednesday, November 3, 2004 at a local care center. There will be no local services and a family service will be held later in Colfax, Washington.

Mrs. Fiedler was born on October 7, 1917, the daughter of Phil and Matilda (Van Damme) DeLange) in Wallace, Idaho. She graduated from St. Ignatius School of Nursing and in 1940 she married Martin Lust, Jr. and he preceded her in death in 1959.
She went to work as a Registered Nurse at St. Mary's Hospital in Walla Walla and later for the VA Hospital, also in Walla Walla. In 1963 she married George M. Fiedler, who also preceded her in death.

She was a member of the Catholic Church in Walla Walla and attended Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church. While she was living in Walla Walla she was very active in the Salvation Army Dress A Living Doll. She was always a seamstress and was a 4-H sewing leader in La Grande. She danced with a square dance club in La Grande and participated in the St. Mary's Alumni Association.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Jack Johnson of La Grande; three grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; Julie F. Shoemaker of Pullman; nieces, Kathy and Meg; and other relatives and friends.
