Allen G. Brittell

January 11, 1925 — March 8, 2005

Allen G. Brittell, 80 of Cove died at his home March 8.

Mr. Brittell was born Jan. 11, 1925, in Cheyenne, Wyo., to Delbert and Maude Allen Brittell. He married Donita E. Helton on Feb. 1, 1947 in Seattle. He moved to Union County in 2000 from Burns. He greatly enjoyed his relationship with the Mennonites.

Mr. Brittell enjoyed gold panning, hunting, fishing and working. He holds several patents for inventions including the three-horse trailer and the first welded aluminum boat.

He is survived by his wife, two daughters and son-in-laws, Denise Sheasly (Bob) of Cove and Jennifer Lasich (Tony) of Baker City, and a sister, Jean Woolridge of Salem. Twelve brothers and sisters died earlier.
