Alice Henrietta Emery

Alice Henrietta Emery, age 87, of La Grande, died April 27, 2017 at Wildflower Lodge. At her request there will be no public service. Those who wish may make contributions to the charity of their choice. Arrangements are entrusted to Daniels~Knopp Funeral, Cremation & Life Celebration Center.



Alice was born on May 19, 1929, the daughter of Edward and Irene (Cottle) Pfel in La Grande. She graduated from La Grande High School. On September 20, 1946 she married Gordon Emery. She enjoyed camping and playing Pinochle with family.



Survivors include her sister, Geraldine 'Jerry' Pfel Rudd in La Grande; children and their spouses, Rona and her husband Glen Hogue, Gene Emery, Mike Emery and his wife Sherrie, and Ronald Emery, all of La Grande; daughter-in-law, Ronda Emery of Union; 12 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by husband, Gordon Emery; son, Arnold Emery; siblings, Dorothy 'Dot' Pfel Hoffman, Lewis Pfel, Melvin Pfel, Charles Pfel, Lavel Pfel and infant twin sisters.
