Albert & Thelma Coffin

Thelma Cunningham Coffin, age 72, of Orange, California, died November 24,2003 and Albert "Bud" Coffin, age 80, of Orange, California, died November 26, 2003, both from cancer.

Funeral arrangements for the couple are being made by Fairhaven Memorial Park and Mortuary in Santa Ana, California.

Mrs. Coffin was born on November 23, 1931 in Iowa. She later lived in lower Perry and attended schools in La Grande.

Mr. Coffin was born August 26, 1923, to Edgar and Zada Coffin at the family farm on Pumpkin Ridge in Summerville. He attended school in Summerville. Mr. Coffin was a veteran of World War II, serving for the South Pacific.

Thelma and Albert were married in 1948.

Survivors include a son, Charles Coffin; daughter, Linda Hokanson; Thelma's mother, Mildred Cunningham of La Grande and sister, Harriet Girrard; Albert's sister, Margie Round; their seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
