Adarene Ogden, 75, of La Grande, died Jan. 29 at Northern Idaho Advanced Care Hospital in Post Falls, Idaho. A celebration of life will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Cove United Methodist Church.
Addie was born Adarene LaVonne Conrad Aug. 6, 1934, to Tom and Treshia (Emigh) Conrad in La Grande. She was raised in La Grande and Cove and graduated from Cove High School in 1952. She attended business college in Spokane where she met Dever E. Ogden. They married in Cove in 1963 and had two sons, Sherman and Eugene.
Dever was in the Air Force and Navy, which took them to Moses Lake, Wash., Oakland, Calif., Millington, Tenn,, and finally La Grande where she was a housekeeper at local motels.
She is survived by her mother, Treshia Conrad (103 years old) of Hermiston; sons, Sherman Ogden of La Grande and Eugene Ogden of Richland, Wash.; sisters, Patricia Templeton of Hermiston and Valgene Standley of La Grande; four grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dever E. Ogden in 2004; and father, Tom Conrad, in 1995.
