Adam W. Ivins, age 41, of Elgin died Saturday in Baker City of heart complications. Viewing will be from 4-7 pm Wednesday at Loveland Funeral Chapel. A celebration of life service will begin at 3:00 p.m. Thursday at the Elgin Stampede Hall. Burial will follow at the Elgin Cemetery.
Mr. Ivins was born May 27, 1963, to George A. and Christeen Campo Ivins in Redding, California. He was a friend to everyone and enjoyed golfing, snowmobiling, basketball, softball, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family and friends. His family remembers him as a "wonderful, caring, loving, strong, kind and compassionate man."
Survivors include his wife, Twila Crouser Ivins; his mother, Christeen Deal; children, Keifer Ivins and Brandi Ivins, all of Elgin, Jeanette Michaelson and Adam Ivins, Jr., both of Goldfield, Nevada; and a sister, Schelly Houtz of Braselton, Georgia. His father and a brother, George Allen Ivins, Jr., both died earlier. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to an education fund for his children.
