Ada Leona Craig

October 31, 1913 — September 5, 2003

Ada Leona Craig, age 89, of Summerville, died September 5, 2003 at a local care facility.
A graveside service will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the Summerville Cemetery. Viewing will be held on Monday from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. at Daniels Chapel of the Valley.


Mrs. Craig was born in Seattle, Washington to George and Gladys (Ostrander) Hays on October 31, 1913. In 1936 she moved to Union County from the Twin Falls, Idaho area and in 1937 she marred Archie Craig. He preceded her in death on September 6, 1969.


Mrs. Craig was a homemaker and enjoyed the outdoors and her family. Her hobbies were crocheting and making crafts.


Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Juanita and Ray Omohundro of Summerville; grandchildren, Lynn Omohundro of Summerville, Gail Miller of Chattaroy, Washington and Linda Omohundro Boydstun of La Grande; six great grandchildren, Michelle McIntosh, Shane Griffin, Amanda Nelson, Charlotte Miller, Melissa Miller and Amy Miller; great-great grandchildren Ezra McIntosh, Josey McIntosh and Samantha Griffin; sister, Wanda Doud of La Grande; numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. Four brothers, two sisters and her parents preceded her in death.


She requests no flowers but contributions may be made in her memory to the GRH Hospice.
