Abram Lee Stice

January 11, 1979 — March 8, 2006

Abram Lee Stice, 27, of Salem and formerly of La Grande, died March 8 at his home.

Burial will be held at the Hermiston Cemetery. A celebration of life will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Assemby of God Church, 730 E. Hurlburt Ave. in Hermiston.

Mr. Stice was born Jan. 11, 1979, to Barry Wayne and Nancy Jeanne Mifflin Stice in Oakland, Calif. He was blind from birth. He graduated from Umatilla High School in 1998 and from Eastern Oregon University in 2003 with a bachelor's degree in music education.

He was currently a post-graduate student at Corban University. He played piano, trumpet and other instruments, and composed music on his computer. He sang in numerous choirs and had a memorable trip to Ecuador.

Survivors include his parents of Umatilla; a grandmother, Bobbie Mifflin of Balboa, Calif.; grandparents, Bob and Marnie Mifflin of Oceanside, Calif.; siblings and their spouses,Benjamin Stice of Woodland, Calif., Nathanael Stice of Salem, Jerry Stice of Joseph, Amy Stice of Warm Springs, Mont., Tess Baker of Rhododendron, Peter and Kaden Stice and Dannelle, Sarina, and Crystal Stice all of Umatilla.

Memorials may be made to the Oregon Commission for the Blind Foundation, 521 S.W. Clay, Portland 97201.
