A. Joyce Wynans

A. Joyce Wynans, former Lostine resident, died Saturday, September 20, 2003 at Pender Adult Foster Home in La Grande.

Joyce was born on March 12, 1924 in Vancouver, Washington to H.C. and Violet (Winsor) Ogle. On November 9, 1956 she married C.F. "Bud" Wynans in Baker, Oregon. He preceded her in death in 1991.

Joyce and Bud spent many years operating Wynans Trout Hatchery. After Bud's death Joyce continued the operation of the hatchery with her son, John, until 1999.

Survivors include her two daughters, Jan and her husband, Joe Ewell of Spokane and Donna and her husband, Raymond Goebel of Lostine; son John and his wife, Teri Wynans of Lostine; daughter-in-law, Beulah Wynans of Lostine; twelve grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and two sons, Jim and Dave.
