A. Ruth Sconiers, 95, of Nampa, Idaho and formerly of La Grande, died Sept. 10 at her home.
A graveside service was held Sept. 12 at the Idaho State Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boise.
Ruth was born April 5, 1913, to Alsey and Etta Fox Catlett in Springfield, Mo. She was raised in Sapulpa, Okla.
Ruth met Adrian Mac Sconiers and they were married in 1939. In the early 1940s, Ruth and her husband moved to Idaho. They returned to their home state of Oklahoma when Mac joined the Army to serve in World War II. After the war, the couple eventually found their way back to Idaho and made their home in McCall and later in Boise. She also lived in La Grande.
Ruth was buried along with her husband of 62 years, Adrian Mac, in the Idaho State Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boise, on the hilltop overlooking the beautiful Boise valley that the couple loved so much.
Survivors include her two daughters, Sharon Cassity of La Grande and Karla S. Sconiers of Spokane; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
