Tracy Kevin Deiter

Tracy K. Deiter, of La Grande, formerly of Union, died Monday December 18, 2023 in La Grande at the age of 47.

Arrangements are entrusted to Daniels-Knopp Funeral, Cremation & Life Celebration Center of La Grande.

Tracy Kevin Deiter was born on November 19, 1976 in Burns to Eugene E. and Gladys Joann (Kennedy) Deiter.  When he was a child the family moved to Cove and then Union.  They later moved to Washington.  On December 13, 1993 he was married to Sheila Kysar.  Tracy worked for Sterocycle Mill in Longview until injury forced his retirement.  Tracy returned to Union and finally La Grande where he remained until his death.

Tracy was baptized in the Union Baptist Church.  He enjoyed building models in his youth.  He loved cars, trucks and motorcycles, most anything with an engine.  He especially loved his family which included his dogs.  He is survived by his son, Tyler Kysar of Kennewick, Washington, the mother of his son, Sheila Martin of Richland, Washington, their grandchildren, Lauren and Lakyn Kysar, Tracy’s siblings, Kelly Gregg of Redmond, Danny Deiter of Burns, Michael Holstrum of Montana, Joe Fox, Jason Tryon, and Rose Quigley, all of La Grande.  Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Albert Deiter.
